My apologies if this topic has already been run into the ground. I said it before the game, and I stand by it now, the "white out" idea was STUPID. It kinda had some merit in 1996 with Vandy, but I saw no reason for it this week. The stadium looked drab with all the white, and it doesn't show our team colors. Slightly better is the all gold idea, but I don't agree with that either. I would like to see a good mix of exclusively purple and gold. White is neutral and doesn't add to the atmosphere. SAY NO TO WHITE OUT!!
I hafta say that i am generally anti-white out...and generally in favor of a gold out or purple out situation, but i am VERY...thats right...VERY IMPRESSED with the fan cooperation in the white out....tiger stadium looked alot better than i expected and better than it has looked in quite some time
I kinda dislike the "white out" and "gold out" ideas. I think Tiger Stadium looks better with purple gold and white scattered through out. The reason is because most other schools have one color and at most two colors seen through out the stadium. LSU has three. I like all three colors being represented because it is much more unique.
Most of us have shirts of each color. I like the sea of white ... or gold ... or purple in the stands -- especially on road games where a lot of Tigers wear gold. It looks good. Let 'em call any color, I'm ready.
As much as I disliked the idea, I went ahead and wore a white t-shirt to the game. I never will again. White out or no white out. Every team in the nation can wear white as a color. I want to wear something that is LSU specific. I'll wear a solid purple, or a solid gold shirt from now on.
I take full blame for this loss. My wife beat me down so much about "everyone is wearing white, come on play along" I pleaded "Woman - This Hat and shirt is undefeated, do you undertand that" I gave in.. WE lost. Damn you woman. I took off my undefeated hat and shirt and put on a white LSU shirt and a White LSU hat... Both have been since handed to the dog. WHite out sucks. Never do it again.
