Which juniors on the team will leave early?

Sorry if this topic has been started already, but I didn't see it. Someone point me there if it has.

Now that we know who the next head coach will be, do we have any clue which juniors are considering leaving? I know Whitworth was already considering going pro. What about Skyler Green? Anyone who I haven't thought of?

Also do we know if anyone plans to transfer yet since Saban has left?

Thanks for any info or even speculations that you have on the subject. I just ask if something is only speculation, just note that it is such.

Skyler's not leaving early. His statements yesterday dictate that he's not going anywhere (you can find his comments, along with other Tiger players that met with Coach Miles at theadvocate.com).

 

Looks like there is a good possibility that we will not lose any juniors this year.

 

I was just thinking that, TT. Outside of a someone on the OL, specifically Whitworth, I think everyone else is staying.

I also think Whitworth will stay as well. There's nothing in his comments, over the past few days, that indicate that he'll leave.

 

Wasn't there some talk about Niswanger possibly not returning? I think he's in the same boat as Mauck was in last year ... graduating as a junior and wants to go to medical school.

 

Usually you hear comments like I am looking to see where I would be drafted or I'm weighing my options, but I have heard almost no talk about the draft from the juniors on the team. Whitworth is probably the only one that has a chance of getting drafted early and from his comments it looks like he will stay.

 

Sean Merrill, RS Freshman from D'Iberville HS (MS), is transferring to Gulf Coast Community College per WLOX news here on the coast.

 

Gulf Coast Community, is he having grade problems? He was a big time recruit and unless there are problems other than football I would think he would transfer to a bigger school.

 

Forgot about him and yes he will have to make a decision between football and Med school. I believe he has a 4.0 GPA so it could be a tough decision for him, hopefully he will return because he could be a big part of next years OL.

 

There was no reason given so I don't know. I did not see anything in our local paper this morning either. I would guess that he is wants to play now and doesn't want to sit out a year. That is only a guess though.
