Obviously, the hat can coach, he's proved it. However, I don't think he's as far down the list as the following article places him. I honestly believe that you've got to speak elequently as well as be a helluva coach to get the praise. Note where Nick Saban ranks. I believe Satan, I mean Saban, and Miles are pretty close in their coaching abilities. However, Saban has a far better command of the english language. http://collegefootball.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=937921
I thought Dienhart was little more than a crappy shock jock blogger while he was at the Sporting News. I was sorry to see Rivals take him on, but at least he has toned it down a little. Still, I don't take anything he says seriously. Hopefully it's not sour grapes on my end, but I just haven't had any respect for the guy for at least 5 years running.
I think the list is decnt. Miles is where he should be or higher. Houston Nutt is too low, and Stoops is too high.
I think Saban is a TERRIBLE public speaker. He uses bad body language by crossing his arms and playing with his own nipples, and his favorite word is "um".:nope:
Why does Kirk Ferentz continue to get this much respect? 1-10 3-9 7-5 11-2 10-3 10-2 7-5 6-7 6-6 9-4 It is like 2005-2009 did not happen. I understand the hype for him in 2004, but he just has not delivered since.
These lists are mostly a where the team is at now. Since LSU slipped to 8-5, it's what I expect. Get in the SEC Champ Game at least, and Miles will climb the coaching list.
List looks like a joke. Miles is way too low. Saban too high. Both are in the top 15 coaches. Agree, like it or not, Urban is #1, consistently good recruiting and results, good in regular season and post season / big games. Richt and Ferentz are too high. Look at Miles recruiting classes and multi year record at LSU, he is way too low. He rebuilt the program at Okie St., did a very solid job there, from out in the middle of nowhere.
