Where do LSU football players spend their off time?

When I was in school I spent most of my time on campus. If I did not go home to NO for the weekend I would go out to the White Horse and shoot bumper pool, play pin ball, visit with friends and drink beer. If I was in NO I would do the same at Tulane's The Boot under the Mushroom. Rarely did I see a football player out at the bars. And if AJ Duhe showed up with that blonde girl who was as tall as his waist they would soon leave after a few dances. My question is this. What do Tiger football players do with there free time today? Do they split for off campus activities? I'm sure this is a priority concern for the program. Are they seen mixing with student activities or do they keep to themselves. Seems to me there needs to be better planning of options to keep them busy. There are so many options these days via electronic media or campus activities.

Anybody know why these guys seem to find themselves in bad situations so often? Or maybe they don't and it's just a few bad apples making everyone else look bad.

back when i was there 15 yrs ago, they were in the dorm so it was easier to keep up with them. the grad asst coaches could be down the hall and check in on you. during the season theyre pretty quiet except for after the game.

gator's shuck n jive was the big place for them to go then, til hallman made it off limits because king, jacquet, marshall were always starting something.

although back then you could get in at 18 (except fred's). gotta be 21 nowadays, right?

Yeah, I think it's 21 now. It was 18 when I was there too. There was a place just off campus on Chimes called Dirty Pierre's that served only beer. It burned down when I was there and they never built it back. It was right at the gate entrance on Highland.

    OMG, Fred's is still around?

When I was at LSU in the late 80s, the players were easy to keep track of via Broussard Hall.

I'd either be studying on campus, or working (waited tables at a comedy club). I didn't get to go to many games once I started working weekends, but my coworkers and I certainly did go out afterwards and shut more than one place down. It was rare to see football players out. I think I saw Harvey Williams out once, and it was after football season.
