Does anyone know when players will make their announcements whether they are going to stay or go to the NFL/dental school?

I know Marcus Spears already said he was staying, and Clayton said he was a month ago. Just was wondering if anyone was going to announce one way or another sometime soon.

Clayton was going to talk it over with his folks after the Sugar Bowl and come to a decision that is best for him. I don't think that his family is in need of money so that is a good thing for us.

As for the others, we'll know for sure by January 15th as that is the deadline to declare.

Corey sounded like he and Michael were staying when they asked him on the news. He something like we dont know but we were talking and we are pretty much going to stay. They told Michael what Corey said and he laughed and said he was going to talk it over with his Family and make his decision. Looked promising though

On the news tonight, they said Marquise is probably going to be the first to go, but nothing on anyone else. I talked to a LSU fan today and he said Mauck was coming back which shocked me. But like you all, I have been unable to confirm that.
The Saban interview postgame did not look promising at all...

Spears has said that he is coming back.
what do you mean that Saban's interview didn't sound promising at all?

What did that mean? Let's see, he said he was already thinking how can he do this again next year and I took it to mean that he was already working on it. Did others take if differently? And supposedly Webster has said he's coming back but I really think that Saban will be working with his NFL buddies to get reads on where guys would be drafted. He said he would be doing this in the next few weeks with the guys who are interested. He also said a going going in the top of the first round has to go out, bottom of first round and second rounders have a hard decision. Hopefully they will all listen to his advice unlike Faulk.

Corey Webster will be one of those "bubble" guys as he will be situated probably low first round or high 2nd round. If he waits, then he would be middle first round. DB's never usually go higher than 10th-15th in the draft.

I think Marquise Hill is no better than middle 2nd round. I think he is better served to stay his senior year and dominate like Lavalais did and get that first round pick. You are talking millions of dollars difference in a long term contract.

Last night on "The Sports Brothers" show on ESPN Radio, Jimbo Fisher said there is a "real good chance" that Matt Mauck will head to dental school, but that they would all get together and discuss it and do what is best for Matt.

With regard to Marquise Hill, I just read on CBS Sportsline that he has declared for the draft. When was this??? I certainly don't remember this at all. On another note, I was given the opportunity to go watch LSU practice in the Dome last week and while there I was talking to a booster who gave me some pretty good info. He told me that Mauck is leaving and that JaMarcuss will be the starter next year, as he is probably the best QB to ever come to LSU. He also said that Marcus Randall would probably be moving to a defensive back position. Now, I can't confirm this as entirely true, but it was definately interesting. As for JaMarcuss, watching him practice showed me that he will be incredible. Definately blew all the other QBs out of the water!
