Remember in the Dark Ages when this was a topic of conversation ? I sure don't miss those days. What do you think has brought us there as far as what takes place on the field. I would say the intangible is intensity / focus and the consistent ability to put pressure on the QB together with excellent coverage. I know there are more factors , these are the things that first come to mind for me.
Team chemistry. The ability to put together a group of players that will work their butts off for one another. Sacrificing the spotlight for the greater good of the team. That's what gets you to the "next level".
I think it happend in two phases It started when Emmert hired Saban and then beame official on January 4 2002!! We have a big time administration, winning AD, THE BEST COACH and a national champion LOADED football team!! NEXT LEVEL!
We've reached the next level. We're at the top! The question is how long will we stay here? I think we're back on top for good.
Nick Saban is who drives this bad boy...........make no mistake about it. As long as Nick stays, LSU will be on the next level.

We've got here because of a relentless Defense...the best in the land. We have 5 running backs who are out of this world, and a great, experience quarterback who has lightning fast receivers. How much better could it get? Here's to back to back championships!!!
No mistake, but remember: Mauck has his ups and downs like everyone else and that he is still learning and getting better. By next year he should be used to the game. GEAUX TIGAHS!!!!!!
