It seems as if the national media and everyone is all on the Georgia bandwagon just because they beat LSU this weekend. You guys are obviously hurtin' bad this year, and you're not the same team that beat us last year and dominated the season. (btw, no flame or disrespect intended toward LSU or the LSU fans on this board.) Georgia's wins so far............ Beat Georgia Southern 48-28. So What! I've never heard of Georgia Southern. Squeaked by South Carolina 20-16. Wow! Impressive. :dis: Beat Marshall 13-3. Oh my gosh! Beat LSU 45-16. LSU is obviously struggling, yet everyone thinks because of this win Georgia should be playing in the Orange Bowl. I hope Tenessee kicks their ass this weekend.
We are very much into SEC pride... We want to see a back-to-back SEC NC.... but we hate Auburn, so we have to go with Georgia... (at least that's the way I see it)
I can appreciate the SEC thing. I know Alabama absolutely hates Auburn. I'm surprised you guys hate them to. Do most of the SEC teams feel the same way about Auburn? I'm asking because obviously I'm more familiar with Big 12 rivalries.
We hate any team that comes to our house, smokes cigars to be smartasses, stomps on the tiger's eye before the game, and picks a fight with the band.... And was just sitting there grinning the whole time... Absolutely classless....
One other SEC related question. I've heard that at Alabama home games, a lot of the fans dress up. The men are wearing suits and the women in dresses. Is that true and why? I know they take their football seriously but that is kinda weird. Is that common in the SEC?
That's mainly at Alabama, Georgia, but worst at Ole Miss. Football games are like senior prom at Ole Miss. They break out china at their "tailgates" on the Grove which is nothing but a big damn field with a bunch of snobby jackasses who haven't won an SEC Championship in football since 1963 or an NCAA Championship EVER in any sport!
 And yes Mr. Peabody, the greeks at most SEC schools get dressed up (coat&tie, dresses) for football games. I've got some Ohio St friends that came down to the AU/UT game last year and thought we (SEC schools) were crazy.
