Whats on your Thanksgiving menu?

Discussion in 'Good Eats' started by LSUBayouBengals, Nov 24, 2005.

  1. I decided to fore-go the traditional menu and go all out with the cooking today:

*Cranberry and Orange Conserve (recipe posted in recipe forum) awesome and easy
*Citrus and herb turkey stuffed with cranberry/tangerine dressing
*Bananas sautéed in lime and Cinnamon
*mashed sweet potato blended with banana, cane syrup and pecan
    *cucumber and tomato salad
    *Bourbon Chocolate pecan pie

For the want of my own airplane, laments. What time is dinner?

Where is the recipe forum? I bet you have some great ideas.

Um, yeah so I had EVERYTHING!!!

Turkey and dressing, mac n cheese, green bean casserole, broccoli casserole, collard greens, fried corn, candied yams, purple hull peas....Hmm, that sums up about everything I ate.

Wait,...desert....Pumkin Cheesecake, apple pie, cherry pie and pecan pie.

Yeah my lil ass ate all that...My stomach hurts-bad.

We went with the standard fare...cornbread dressing, roasted turkey, and brown n' serve rolls. Not overly complicated, other than it was my first time cooking all of the above. I missed my mom's casseroles, but there's only so many hours in the day! All of it came out great though! In fact, I think I need a samich. :)

Oh, and some deep dish apple pie and vanilla bean icecream...

Smoked ham from Grayson's, sweet potatoes, cornbread dressing, green salad, asparagus. Cherry pie from Lea's for dessert.
