Whats in your Blu Ray collection

    agreed. physical media just seems stupid to me. even books, which i love, annoy me a bit. seems anachronistic that i would need media in a form other than ones and zeros. even if i did have the space, which i dont. i dont see the point of blu-ray when i figure anything i want will be available for hi speed hd streaming soon enough.

    I've never used Apple's codec but if its lossless you should be good to go. The key to ripping vinyl is using a lossless codec. All the vinyl I've digitized sounds great. The biggest pain with digitizing vinyl is it can only be done in real time. Not a fast process especially if you own hundreds of albums.

    I ripped about 60 albums over a 6 day period, and it was awesome. I never enjoyed a chore so much.

    Books will look a lot better to you if your power goes out. Trust me.
