I guess this is better then asking whats in your dvd collection because that would take some people forever to list or whats in your VHS collection since pretty much the only vhs tapes left out there are porn. I figure blu ray is new enough and so expensive that people are gonna get the movies that they really like or want to see. And figure its a good time waster. These 49 days need to hurry the hell up!!!!

Blu-ray is pricey. I only get big-screen epic blockbusters that I'm likely to want to watch again many times. How The West was Won -- you haven't seen this Cinerama movie until you see it in Blue-Ray, they fixed all of the bugs of the VHS/DVD version which cropped out a lot and had merge lines in it. Kingdom of Heaven -- Big action epic film, look great in 1080p Casablanca -- This one was a gift, but I was surprised at what 1080p added to a classic black and white film. It's really very good. Ratatouille -- I got this one just to see what a full-digital 3-D film looked like in 1080p. It was great so I went out and got . . . Beowulf -- So photo-realistic that you actually forget you are looking at animation. I plan to get Gettysburg and Lawrence of Arabia if they ever come out.
i've never purchased a dvd or blueray disc. with the selection on cable/sat, redbox, netfix, bb and the internet i just don't see the need. i rarely watch the same movie more than once. sure some of the classics i've viewed multiple times but those are always replayed on tv anyway. 1. some old clint eastwood movie a family member gave me. (and it's just a dvd) so i have nothing.
i dont have a blu-ray player but i will be purchasing the Planet Earth series and a player eventually. the series on hd was breathtaking. the panoramic views on just about every shot is incredible. any imax-type with wildlife or outdoors intrigue me the most.
Nice collection Crip. I only have a few Planet Earth (all 4 discs) The Galapagos Islands Dark Knight KungFu Panda Sex & The City Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull Jonas Brothers 3D Concert (shadup, daughter wanted it) A Bug's Life Thats all I own.
I have not seen that on blu-ray yet. would be a good one. Is the Planet Earth blu-ray, the American one or the British one? I hate the Sigorney Weaver reading on the US one.
