Bama these two were Cholly Mac's biggest games and rivals back in the "Days" ( Charlie Mc and Bear Bryant era ) I used to lay in bed at night back when there was NO cable and three stations on TV , in south MISS and listen to LSU play other SEC teams on WWL AM radio out of Nawlins. I grew up listening to LSU play these two ARCH rivals and they will ALWAYS be the two most hated teams for me and all the OLD LSU faithful. c ya
JSracing, I too used to listen to LSU football in south Mississippi (Gulfport) on WWL back when there were only 3 stations. Great memories. Maybe I'll get blasted to pieces for this, but here goes: I don't "hate" any college or any team or player. That's just a bit strong for me. Having said that, the day Tulane basketball got the "death penalty" from the NCAA was one of the great days of that year for me. I was working in downtown New Orleans at the time and made sure that all of my Tulanian co-workers got the news right away. If Tulane football were to play the Iraqui national team, I would probably show up with a Saddam Hussein T-shirt on. I know they're yesterday's news, but I guess you had to be there back when that was a rivalry. But did I "hate" Tulane? Er, maybe I need to think about that...
