Bertman hangs on to coaches longer than Dean. Miles will be here for a while ala Brady unless Carr is booted and Michigan comes calling.
6-5 would be brutal. I don't see how an AD could keep a coach that has the talent and depth of LSU that is well known nationally. That is the first thing that is said about LSU, is the amount of depth and talent they have. But even though I don't see how you could keep them, I'm certain Skip would keep Les. We lost 2 during regular season last year and we had more potential on offense this season so to drop 5 would be terrible. However, I don't think any school would fire a coach after one year and if we go 6-5, expect a shake up in the staff. Jimbo stays, Pelini goes if the pattern continues, and Les would be told he better turn it around. Personally, though if LSU went 6-5 with this talent level, I would fire him.
What 5 games do you see us losing? Florida, Bama, and Auburn are the only ones even remotely possible, and I think the 1st one is the only one remotely possible personally We lose by 3 in OT to a team preseason ranked ahead of us, and you write off the whole season?! Get real!
I believe Miles contract is for 7 years at 8.75 million $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. I am sure there are pockets deep enough to buy out that contract. I know that at okie lite that Miles had multi year contracts for his assistants. Did he do the same at LSU? If so, does anyone know how deep that pool is? Does anyone have any idea what a one and done would cost you? Dang, we are talking lotto money for screwing up.
