As long as no one is endangered by doing so, then play the damn game.

That's funny, when you do a poll, the thread is already put out there for everyone to see, as you work on your choices of the poll.

As soon as I clicked ok on the poll, wesfau already had his post up.

i vote we move it to november 6 or whenever it is available to be played. not worth the risk IMO.

Nov. 6th is the only option. I doubt they would let them play Dec. 4th and then move the SEC CG to Dec. 11th.

Has that ever been done? Did they do that in 2001, due to Sept. 11th?

I think the SECCG was moved back one week due to 9/11.

I think so too.....the funny thing is LSU vs. Auburn was called due to Sept. 11th.

Anybody have any other neutral site suggestions you think would work?

I also thought of the Georgia dome, our home away from home, but Tubby would never allow our speed to play on that surface indoors. And even so, the path of the hurricane takes it out that way anyway, so you have the same problem with the fans trying to drive up to the game.

chance of rain in AU is only 20-30% but i guess that isnt the issue. Its about people being able to leave in safety beyond just the game. Otherwise, Id want to play it of course if that was the only issue.

Seems like people's safety should be the first priority.

Agreed. That's why I don't see how this game gets played in Auburn at 2:30 on Saturday. It would be some sort of miracle if that were to happen.
