  1. I'm guessing about 4 feet long. Mostly made of wood.

  8. Was it a tool for cleaning out specific sized troughs (I'm thinking gold mining operation)? The metal end would be made to fit in the trough to clean mud or what-not out.
  9. Not at all related to cleaning, nor gold.. the end was not designed to fit into a trough.
