Has anyone heard any comments from players, fans, or coaches about the how they feel who is the better team? Also what have they said about USC vs LSU. I think LSU beat Auburn more dominately than did USC. I think if LSU brings A game, noone in the SEC can beat us, and we will be champs.
I was on the War Eagle Nation message board and they seem to be torn between LSU and Ole Miss. Some want Ole Miss to be in the championship game because they have never been and some want to see LSU win out because then they will have somewhat of a chance to be in the Sugar Bowl. I think, though, that since LSU and Auburn now have a bigger rivalry together than do Ole Miss and Auburn, a lot of Auburn fans want Ole Miss to win.
If a team totally dominated my team in every phase of the game, and another team beat me by three and I had the go ahead TD and more than not winning TD pass dropped, you damn right I'd say the team that kicked my rear and dominated me from the start and left no doubt who is the better team, I'd be saying "NO Comparison" hands down LSU is the better team. We left no reason for Auburn to say they could beat us if we played again.
Year-in, year-out, Auburn and LSU will be more likely to have respect or fear for each other. Neither will respect or fear Ole Miss. Ole Miss is trying to win a conference title for the first time in 41 years. Ole Miss is a small school from a poor state with in-state loyalties divided three ways. In other words, the 2003 Ole Miss team is an abberation.
I was discussing this very same subject with several of my Auburn friends this weekend, and just as mentioned above, there are mixed opinions. Some felt compelled to root for Ole Miss because they've never been. Most felt like I do, that LSU is the better team and would represent the SEC stronger. But nearly all of them also indicated they just wanted to beat UGA and Bama. The Ole Miss loss hasn't changed my opinion about UGA though. I still feel AU will beat the Leghumpers this Saturday. As for the question about LSU or USC...... I can only tell you that nearly every AU fan I've spoken with would rather play LSU again before taking on a very strong USC team. I know what the stats say, and I'm sensitive to the strong opinion on this board, but IMHO, USC has better defensive depth, better wide receivers, and a better QB. LSU has better special teams. Both teams have been devastated at the RB position and both have rebounded well, but Reggie Bush has emerged for USC and will be a Heisman candidate next season. If the two teams were to play each other (my dream matchup) , I'd give a slight edge to USC in a low scoring game........ 17-14 USC. Respect to the D's........
We want Auburn to beat UGA, because the team in the SEC east with the highest rank in the BCS will go to the SECCG and I dont want to play UGA (Been there done that) Bring on those VOLS!!!! Cause they beat Miami and so when we kick thier A$$'$ it will look goooooooooood!
LMAO hahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahha hohohohohohoohohohohohohohohohohoho hehehehehehhehehehehehehehehheheehhe
caddyattack, I disagree with 2 of your statements. Justin Vincent shredded your defense. The national media is beating the "We love USC" drum with Bush being a superstar, but I'll gladly take Vincent. And, our wideouts are just as good as theirs, I assure you.
