USCPUKE here - just posting on my boy's computer. We just got back from NO. We get to new orleans, unpack our shit, grab a beer and hit the streets. Within 15 minutes, I see Craig James walking into Walgreens. Right then I knew this was going to be a special trip. I walk into Walgreens, and ask if he is Craig James, which he replies yes, nice to meet you. Now before I proceed I will give Craig James credit, as he was one of the first who said that if LSU beats Arkansas and wins the SECCG they will deserve to be in the Sugar Bowl. Anyway, I ask why has your coverage been so biased? He pretends to be dumb and says, "biased for which team??" I said ah come on man, you guys are incredibly biased for USC. He said well having been over there, those guys just want a part of the championship. I said it would be ok if they just wanted a part of it, but Pete Carrol is lobbying on ABC for the coaches to disregard their agreement, and that Saunders and Bowden were agreeing with him!! At that point his cell phone started to ring, and he said give me one second. My point had been made, so I shook his hand and said thanks for your time. Overall a nice guy, but at least I was able to get that off my chest. From that point on things just kept getting better and better! NATIONAL CHAMPS - LSU
I've always liked James. He was a great one at SMU although playing in Eric Dickerson's shadow and he had a pro career. I always appreciate his comments, at least he's been there. I think he's been fair to LSU.
