What happened to the "mobility" Jennings was supposed to have.

Ok plain and simple then, Les does not manage the QB position very well. Whether it be recruiting, development, or usage on the field, it's not his forte, hasn't been, and probably will never be. The fact that he does not, probably keeps some of the better prospects away.

Rettig.. where's he at on the depth chart? Is he worse than what was seen at the bowl game? Rivers? How many years has he been at LSU? Is he not capable? Good luck Brandon Harris, hope things work out better for you. Sorry Jarrett Lee, all you did was have an 8-0 season. Here Jordan Jefferson let's see how much more one dimensional you can make the offense.

Check your facts...JFF, Jamis were REDSHIRTs with a year of time in the system. Speaking of CUM, if you mean Tebow..he didn't start as a freshman he subbed for a sr and I think the tOSU kid is a red shirt too. Don't know about Briles' record but most of his and Sumlin's players reputations were built on a career record where they struggled as freshmen but improved...like Case Keenum who struggled as a freshman.

    Try again sport

I thought he did a fair job although he certainly wasn't very accurate in the passing game. Yes, there were times when he should have scrambled rather than taking those sacks. Lack of experience? I have stated before, why didn't Miles play the guy during regular season games this season when the outcome of those game had already decided. This was really his first shot at playing time this season and I blame the coaching staff for that. So here we go again, going into a new season with a QB with very limited experience.

This is what cam is for. We finally hired someone to coach up our QBs and then we get a damn near pro style QB performance out of mett most of the year. If cam stays harris will be fine.

It doesn't matter, if Anthony Jennings eats too much corn and gets constipated it's Miles fault.

I am kind of upset at Gerald Willis though.

But the part you're conveniently ignoring is that each of those guys named won starting jobs, received started snaps, and starter attention for several months. This is not the same thing. You think Cam have Jennings the same amount of attention as he have Mett? So AJ had one good performance to get a victory against Arky, and one poor one in a win in his first start...in a bowl game. Just saying, this is a different situation. If Jennings wins the job and shits the bed in Reliant, ok...maybe then we panic.

You're wanting to compare Jennings to redshirt guys who won starting jobs when at this juncture, he should be compared to a backup. Now how many true freshman backups go gangbusters in there first starts.

Miles doesn't manage the qb's, never has and never will. Fisher, Crowton, Krags & Cam have managed the qb's. And Cam is one of the best in the business at it. And last year we brought in two of the best high school qb's in the country and will bring in another one this year so that proves you are wrong about this.

To be fair, until his predecessor got AJ McCarron he was terrible at managing the QB position as well. It's amazing what 1 stable qb that plays 4 straight years will do to perception.

What I saw in the game was:
    1. The playbook was not set up for a "running" qb. No zone read. Very few option runs. No designed QB runs (Love a QB lead draw).
    2. Most of the pass plays were from the pocket. At this point Jennings has ZERO pocket presence... He moves poorly within the pocket and the clock is not there YET.

What it comes down to is that Cam and Miles treated Jennings as a pro-style quarterback, which he is not. Everyone raves about an NFL level offense, but if you don't have a Mett-type QB, you have to adapt. The coaches failed to do that and it almost cost the Tigers yet another bowl win.

Jennings is a pro style qb, and the result was a win doing what they should have done.
