Re: The 'Wantango' Offense Miles used the term as joke during his radio show. I kinda like it though.
Re: The 'Wantango' Offense I'm not sure what they call it, but i would like to call it the.."I'm gonna smash into your sorry scum suckin, bottom dwellin, ugly, pansy a*# so get the "ef" out of the way Biotches!!!" I think that name would work
Re: The 'Wantango' Offense I think the offense definitly should have a name other than something like 'westcoast offense' . It's good to finally see an OC at LSU making use of all the skill people we have and putting them in position to make plays. Yes, Les Miles just used the term 'wantango or Wangotango' in joking around, but i think the name is pretty cool and fits the total unpredicability of whats coming each play. I'm kinda of hoping the name would take off and stick, take a life of it's own, like 'fear the hat' has. Everybody in the country knows about our defense but if the offense can continue to be this explosive then it deserves to be recognized as well. :geauxtige
Re: The 'Wantango' Offense I think its awesome. Even better because it started as a little bit of snark.
Early and Matt Anyone catch Doucet introducing the OLine and calling Flynn the "second person in the Salt and Pepper Connection"? Loved it! Reminds me of Shake and Bake, baby!
Re: The 'Wantango' Offense wango tango is a music festival in california and a song by Ted Nugent. Here is a snippet from the lyrics to nugent's song: All right! It's zee Wango, zee Tango 1-2-3-4 Come on boys Time to Wango My baby she like to rock My baby she like to roll My baby she can dance all night My baby got no control She do the Wango Tango My baby she can scream and shout My baby she can move it out My baby she can take a chance My baby got a brand new dance Wango Tango I think the name is appropriate, especially the lyrics about "move it out...take a chance...brand new dance". i'd say that sums up flynn and company. Rest of the lyrics here
Re: The 'Wantango' Offense I also believe they use the phrase in the first line of Procal Harum's "White Shade of Pale"... We skipped the light Wantango :hihi: For what it's worth...I like it, too!
