Usually, each recruit is paired off with a current LSU player (either from the same high school or town or state or someone of the same position) and I believe they stay with them while visiting.

I would imagine that the first order of business would be to show them around the football fascilities seeing as I don't know of any other place on campus that all of these guys would report to Coach Miles other than the football/athletic offices.

I would imagine that a film of LSU on gamedays and of the school in general are shown.

A walk-thru of Tiger Stadium, the weight room, locker room, practice fascilities, training room, etc....

A tour of the new academic center could/would be a lengthy stop.

And then a tour of the rest of campus and perhaps some sites around Baton Rouge.

And at some point, a "one-on-one" with either Miles himself, or with one of his position coaches (or both!) and the recruit will take place, explaining/outlining how they feel the player will be used and how early they plan on using him (usually, unless you're a blue-chip prospect, the answers given are the generic: "you'll be given a chance to compete and if you work hard, you increase your chances of playing earlier." ....for the blue-chippers it's more like "You can step in right away"-type of thing). :D

And I'd imagine that depending on the level of interest, or in the event that one of the recruits commits on the spot, then a meeting with academic advisors, etc. could take place as well.

Here's hoping to a great weekend recruiting effort for Miles and his staff!!!! :geauxtigs

Thanks, I was just curious...not stalking...ahem (see afore mentioned post..no soup for you btw).
Last year, the Elan Cotillion Snowball party for 7th graders was on one half of the the top floor of the Camelot Club and on the other half the coaches and wives were hosting a party for the new recruits and their guests (some mammas , some dates ) and it was so fun. The guys were all in hip hop stuff and I remember Early Doucet drawing a crowd. They had to post guards to keep the little kids out of that side and (some of the curious parent Cotillion chaperones...mostly dads and maybe one mom that follows the Tigers err, uhm...but anyway it looked fun over there, from what I could see peeking through the door.:hihi:
Nick and Terry came over to our side at the end to see Kristin.
I just like to imagine what it must be like for these young athletes since I will never know being neither young nor athletic and passing on the non athletic genes to my progeny.
    :)
