Well if the Tigers make the mistake and think that squeaking by a hapless UF team was greater than what it actually was, they may come out flat this week. If they do Auburn will score the upset. Auburn is much better than UF. This team cannot afford to give the ball to them like they gave to all the others.

you're correct. there could be a false sense of security after beating a more hapless UF team than in recent memory.

if our team believes they are better than they are it could be trouble.

this will be a low scoring dogfight i do believe.

    least mistakes win.

Auburn may be better than UF, but I don't think they are "much better". After squeeking out a win and 5 turnovers against Florida, I don't think they'll be over confident for Auburn. These guys know better than any of us that the Auburn game usually decides the SEC West.

Auburn beating LSU at home defines a letdown game.

theyre playing much better currently and thats all that matters. they've won 12 straight SEC games i think. UF has lost 2 of its last 3 and soon 3 of 4.

thats the thing, you think teams would not feel that way after playing sloppy but teams develop tendencies which often become their signature. and letdown games happen whether we think they should or not.

this isnt the prototypical letdown game because AU is a rivalry of sorts yet it has the making of one. that sense of urgency to win isn't quite in the air this week and most our fans are predicting a blowout so bet on a close game either way.

I agree that the offense needs to have less turnovers to beat auburn but i think its a good thing for the defense to be over confidnet. They look a lot more like the old lsu defense in the past where everyone flies to the ball. I think if lsu's defense has a game like the last three and the offense protects the ball then lsu easily wins.

I don't think that they will have a let down game. After all of the mistakes against FLA and Vandy, the coaches will be all over their asses.

I predict that LSU comes out focused and finally puts together a complete game.

    LSU 42-3

Here's a quick definition of a "letdown game": BYU at Notre Dame

Don't laugh: this is a 3 loss BYU team, but 2 have come against top 25 teams, including a 1 pt loss to TCU.

Talk about a post-USC hangover for the Irish! They'll be mulling that loss right up---and through---kickoff this Saturday. May not be a BYU straight-up win, but those 19.5 points do look tempting...
