No its not JL's inconsistant play, although that does bother me. he is still green and SHOULD improve. Remember I said Russel should improve faster too. Ok I'm Impatient, or they are slow whatever.

No its not the inconsistant play of the defense. We have an awesome Defensive front, secondary might be a little bit down due to graduates, but the cupboard isnt bare.

No its not the Play calling and coaching, although at times I question Crowtons calls and his thinking. he sometimes sets Lee up for failure IMHO. but hey who am I?

Les seems to be slow to change the QB at times and let him rest.... or just let him think. To Les' credit he did handle this better agaisnt Troy.

The Co DC 's what are they doing? We look lost at times on defense. is it coaching or just poor playing? which is it?

None of the above......... is what bothers me most. Although they all do bother me right or wrong.

What bothers me most is our seeminly inability to compete in some games.
I think we have good attitude, since we stuck around to come back agaisnt Troy.

Here is what I mean. I KNOW we can compete with Georgia, FLorida and BAMA, hell we almost beat Bama. but we cant compete agaisnt Troy for one half? I know hats off to Troy, but if the same two teams run out in the second half? what is UP? I know they didnt give up and thats good. BUT is Troy THAT Good or did we just stink up the first half with mistakes?

yes they stacked the box, but even so, we have an awesome Front O line. How could we run well agaisnt Bama? or decent anyway.

My biggest issue with this team is COnsistancy. Early I said inability to compete ok that is wrong. WE HAVE the ability we just dont play with consistancy.
I'll take a win over a loss any day but, its hard to stomach when you know they are better.

I mean a loss to a good Bama team is one thing. Even a loss by a TD or 10 points in a hard fought game where we competed the WHOLE game.

But when we get blown out or we come from behind so far with a TEAM you KNOW you can compete with?

If we just played with some sort of consistancy we'd be where Bama is today.

Take away ANY one of our problem areas and there are a few and we'd be near the top.
    Take away any of these:
    1. Lee's pick sixes
    2. inconsistant secondary play
    3. poor tackling ( at times ) ( see Bama game , arm tackling )
    4. Poor play calling... poor clock management, coaching in Gen.

All of the things above wouldnt bother me so much if they were BAD all the time. You could point and say, thats why. BUT there are times when all of the above looked as good as anyone in the SEC. :insane:

is this due to youth? coaching? AND NO i am not calling for Mile's head. I realize no one is perfect but sheesh already some of this is elementary!

All I know is it's frustrating. :cuss:

ok my rant is over.

yes I still support the Tigers as always. :geaux:

Yes, the inconsistency is frustrating.....it's sort of like when your car is messin' up but when you take it to the shop, it behaves just fine. Makes it hard to diagnose the difficulty. Frustrating.

Probably there's a lot to be said for the youth we have at some positions being a large part of the problems - but then you see bursts of brilliance that really give you lots of hope for the future.

I still say that the biggest surprise and disappointment for me is that the O line and D line were both supposed to be spectacular this year and to date it doesn't seem like they're living up to that billing. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but the lines seem to play down to the level of the competition.

Seasons like this one are much more common than seasons like last year...maybe we're just expecting too much this year. There is a lot of promise in the younger players on this team.

What bothers me most is that Ryan Perrilloux is a slacker and a doofus. This would have been a very different season if we had an experienced quarterback running the offense.

We lose 8 guys to the NFL, we lose our MVP starting quarterback and are forced to play a green freshman and we are still looking at a 10-3 season. We are ranked and will go bowling in January. I sat through 8 losing seasons in the 90's and I think LSU is playing damn strong football under the circumstances. This is a even-numbered year where we have our toughest schedule and we are just about where everybody predicted us to be last summer. We are simply not going to win the championship every season . . . not in the SEC, nobody does.

This was our letdown game and we survived it. Nobody but a top-10 team has beaten us. Things just ain't so bad that I'm upset.

Nothing, this is exactly where I thought we'd be except flip flop the Alabama and AU games.

I sat through too many losing seasons in the 80's and 90's to let a 3 to 4 loss season the year after a NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP bother me.

I'd love to go fishing with these band wagon fans... the first time the water gets choppy they'd jump overboard.

The front 4 on defense. The fact that they can not get a pass rush is putting too much pressure on the dbs. (Before the season I thought the front line was a strong point on this team......I was WRONG!)

What bothers me the most is the consistently inconsistent playing by Lee.... in a game much like last night... he was as cold as the weather.... then 2nd half he is on fire.... Bama game.... he was hot and cold the entire game.... he needs to learn how to lead the receiver and know there speed so that the ball isnt overthrown... and he finially scrambled last night.... and got some yards... why couldnt he do that against bama... when he had 20+ yards open in front him he dumps the ball to the outside. I hope its just the Freshman jitters because we need some consistency... and need it badly... This season is shot, no doubt. So why not start preparing for the future. Look and see how Jefferson handles situations. Judging from a few plays last night he isnt half bad just needs some playing time. Give him a chance to face Ole Miss, a team that is no doubt a rising opponent over the next few years, and possibly a National Championship contender.... we have a long road before the opening of the 2009-10 season lets make the best use of likely opponents and use them as a chance to show that we are a National Champion and will be one under this new leadership!

And another thing that bothers me is if you are a fan you are a fan in winning and losing seasons.... not just the winning ones.... there is no such thing as a BANDWAGON FAN... you are not a fan at all... just a pretender who is quick to jump to the cooler and smash us when we are down and quick to love us when we are up... do yourself a favor and follow another team because LSU is too good of a program to need you

one more thing that bothers me most about this season.

Morons that judge other people by how they think fans should be, who wouldnt dare do that to your face cause theyd get their clock cleand QUICKLY. They cant have an honest football convo but they have this holier than thou attitude. God help the POOR SOB that EVER calls me a band wagon fan to my face. On here maybe but do it to my face, I dare you.

I sat thru too many games way BEFORE hallman and dinardo.
I went through YEARS of losing to Bama during the Cholly mac days.

I EARNEd my right to bytch about what goes on in Tiger stadium.

So here's to you mr holier than thou I support my team and you dont football fan, crack open that tall one cause IF you ever make a huge mistake and say it in person, something side your beer is gonna get cracked LOL bank it
