It is an excellent article and anyone who thinks we can respond with jingoistic and axiomatic words or violence is wrong. We can't nuk'em till they glow or call them the savages the act like. As was said we have to engage with the new leadership and hope to guide them (and provide the means) for them to grow and survive as responsible countries with some sort of open society. Again I don't give BHO the credit the author does. As I said part of that may be my antipathy to him. He may be searching but I don't think it effective and the points I made about how other leaders react to him and his actions vis a vis Israel weigh more to me. He did kill OBL and others in AQ but they had been marginalized in fact and AQ had broken their back and standing with Sunnis in Anbar Iraq. AQ was more destructive to their own and drove the Sunni chiefs into our arms. Not what W intended but a nice result. I expect BHO to be reelected in Nov and hope he finds some footing.
I knew you couldn't support your assertions with facts. I also know when you have lost an argument when you resort to personal attacks.
I am afraid you are right. I am discouraged enough to vote libertarian this time. Romney had a chance if he had the courage to stand on his past actions. His record at Bain, SLC and as Gov of Mass showed nothing but success and potential. He probably lost his footing in 2008 being savaged by conservatives. I am afraid you are wrong about the reps. They have some more time of "eating their young" before they are mature enough to lead. I had sort of hoped they wouldn't win in 2010 as they weren't ready. It is a shame because I feel the dems are losing them selves to more politically astute extreme leftists BHO among them. The dems were more limiting of oppsing views in some ways than the reps. I think we are much worse off without more diverse parties and the lost ability for opponents to work together without penalty. We need some on both sides with the courage to stand up to their own. Lets face it neither Pelosi or Ried nor McConnell or Bonher (however you spell it) are worthy of their position.
Not much of a choice I agree but it is my personal voice against the roar of and I feel an obligation to vote.
What in the hell are you talking about Pride? What assertions? You can dish it out but you can't take it, huh?
