When I lived in Maine, that's what everyone called them. They trek up for the weekend and drive like, well, Massholes.
@Tiger Exile Yes, I first heard the word watching How The States Got Their Shapes on History Channel. I knew Maine was originally part of Massachusetts, but I didn't know there was so much animosity even today.
LaSalle would fit right in as a Mainer, most of the issue is rich Massholes coming up for the weekend and clogging the roads, treating the locals like shite and strutting their 1% selves. It makes for a little animosity. The New Yorkers and the folks from Connecticut run a close second, but Mass holds a special place in the angst of Mainers.
I'm with the massholes. They don't need to apologize for keeping maines economy above ground. And for my money New York Jews are the worst
