What are the chances West Virginia makes it to the sugar bowl? I see people predicting this but I dont see why. Why do we get stuck with the Big East winner and when are they going to have their automatic BCS bowl dropped? That conference is no more deserving then a few other mid-majors anymore.

You have to be impressed by their eight teams.

Is it the Little East that has a tie in with the Sugar? For some reason I was thinking it was the Big 11, err, I mean 10.

The BIG LEAST!! is nothing now with West Virginia as their best team to offer I hope we get an at large bid from another team instead of those mountain boys, if we make the Sugar Bowl!

So it's the big 10 champion right? SEC vs. BIG 10 unless one of them plays in the Championship game.

Doesn't the Big Ten have a tie in with the Sugar Bowl ?

Because in 2001 season we played Illinios in the Sugar Bowl.

The Big East Champ gets a BCS bowl ... they have to play somewhere.

It'll suck for any team to have to play these guys b/c it's a lose-lose deal. If you win, everyone says you were suppose to win ... lose, and everyone will say you suck b/c they beat you.

The Sugar Bowl gets the last at large bid this year(it was the Fiesta last year...hence Utah/Pitt). Most likely scenario is UT/USC in the Rose, Penn. St./ND Fiesta, Miami/at large in the Orange, SEC champ/WVU or South Florida(if they win out) in the Sugar. The Big East will lose their automatic bid if the Big East champ isn't in the BCS top 12 for 4 consecutive years. Pitt wasn't in the top 12 & WVU currently isn't in the top 12. If they don't make it this year, then we gotta hope the Big East champ can go 2 more years without cracking the top 12 of the final BCS rankings prior to the Bowls. Hope this clears up some things.

The Sugar is the SEC Champ versus an at-large team.

The Big Ten & Pac 10 have the exclusive tie-in with the Rose unless the RB is the national title game. In that case the Big Ten or Pac 10 champ will be picked by one of the BCS bowls if they are not in the NC game. There is a pecking order each year(not sure of the exact scenario) and since the Fiesta had the last at large pick in '04, they get the 1st pick this year.
