Starting in October, West Monroe High School will be on ESPN every Sunday. The name of the program will Varsity Inc. and will be docmentary of the WM football program along with the support groups. It should be very interesting to see how they have become a football powerhouse in the state and in the nation. South Louisiana should take note...Sulphur has with their WM roots.
Now,...that's what I'm talking about! We're very excited about this up here. I'm sure we'll represent our state better than that overrated team over in Alabama did theirs. The other great thing about this is the fact that more than half the people in the stands will be wearing Purple and Gold! I'm glad that I have my season tickets for Rebel football. Something tells me that tickets will be hard to come by this year.
This is an ESPN production and not MTV! That in itself will tell you how much better it will be than Two-A-Days.
Exactly...Im pretty sure two a days is over for good...that jackass of a coach they have is about to be fired from everything I have read.
Here is a funny article about the program and some disparaging comments about that scum bag in Hoover by Coach Shows at West Monroe! "I haven't changed any grades, and I don't have a 'secret family,' " Shows says with a laugh. "I'm not worried about anything like that. Absolutely not. Absolutely not." http://www.nypost.com/seven/08282007/tv/espn_takes_two.htm
This post doesn't fit in the picture, but I'm proud to say my Dad was voted most athletic in 1954 @ WM -
Oh, and the worst part was my Mom was most athletic at Neville High School as well in 1957 (DS) 'no middle name.' Not sure why I never received the genes.
