Obama I don't find it odd at all, really. 1) No president has EVER spent the amount of money Obama has in his first year. 2) The Administration seems to be doing all the wrong things to try and fix the economy. Who in their right mind would do the healthcare bill, Cap and Tax, raise other taxes to help cover the national debt in this kind of recession? Try not having the government spend so much money in the first place. You want to talk about weird, in a way Obama and Bush have carried on some of the same policies but I would say Obama is Bush on Steroids in some areas such as spending. IMHO the government is sending all the wrong messages to the private sector. No one in their right minds are going to expand or invest in businesses, also applies to shoppers somewhat. People are going to hold on to what they have because no one knows what is going to happen in the future right now financially. Some of that is also because a lot of people are gun shy after losing a lot of their savings. Edit: Before you say it, I haven't said Bush wasn't responsible for some of this but that changed once Obama's policies were announced.
