That's right, it would never rain on an LSU Homecoming Game, or an LSU game, period. God wouldn't allow it. So, what was that stuff the night of the ULM game? Seriously, just "perfect" football weather on a crisp, fall evening, right?
It's just a saying that goes back several years. Someone coined the phrase "it never rains in Tiger Stadium." Of course it does rain from time to time but it's just a saying that is a part of LSU football.
It was true at one time, for the most part. I attended virtually every LSU home game in the 60s and 70s and into the 80s, and I don't recall ever getting rained on! But that changed some time - I think about the same time that Curley arrived! :lsug: 62 tech 0 :geaux:
They now have on line dictionaries, so you piney woods types don't have to pony up your hard earned bucks from the sawmill on a printed version. Anyway, Gomer, you might want to look up the definition of "sarcasm". You'll look a little less clueless. Just trying to help,
And you took my comment about God not allowing rain as something other than sarcasm???? Talk about clueless, bud.
It may not rain in Tiger Stadium on Saturday nights, but the humidity was running down the aisles in torrents a couple of times this year.
