I get the whole "we are young" on defense argument and I agree. Replacing 8 starters is tough. The D will improve next year and probably be good for a couple of years but we will have a RS Freshman QB in Jennings and the cycle will start all over again.

Too bad we can't mature as we did with great defenses in our NC years. It's wait until next year. I had us losing 3-4 games and this was one of them all because of our defense.

Great game by Mett and tremendous play calling by Cameron. Just stinks to have a inexperienced defense.

It does suck :( But we're not out of the picture yet. We still control our own destiny in the way of winning out. I don't see a 1 loss SEC champion (especially after avenging that loss in the SEC championship game) not going to the NCG.

I wanted so much to think they were mediocre or maybe just hadn't come together yet. But after today's stinker I'm prepared to say they're just plain bad. There's no excuse for how bad the secondary is. Nobody back there seems to know what coverage they're in. Tackling isn't good. Pass rush isn't good. There's not any aspect of our D this season that I would call good so far.

At least there's tons of potential to improve. Let's see what they're made of.

Personally I blame all the dreadlocks.

Sadly I have to agree with this. My purple kool-aid got all spilled and I don't have anymore to drink.

I don't know if we hit Murray at all today except on the roughing the QB call?

Correct, if we win out, we are likely national champions.

No room for error and I don't see the defense in any way, shape or form that's going to make "championship" strides. It doesn't get any easier for us. Tough games ahead with UF, Ole Miss, Bama and A&M. We can split those games.

Imagine this team with those 9 early-exit guys back...

Did all nine of the early-exit guys make it on an NFL roster?
