Look guys i found a way to satisfy everyone. People who like the bowls and people who like the playoffs. On one hand people love the Bowl games... it is part of Division 1A football for 80 years... so lets do one thing suck it up... Here is what I propose... a four team, 2 game playoff... just like the Confrence Championship games this is just two games to decide who goes to the National Championship game. Only Instead of having it during Bowl season... It will be the week after Finals so all schools involved will have a full week to prepare, with no distractions... BCS formula still applies... 1 and 4 play 1 having home field advantage. 2 and 3 play, 3 having home field advantage... now what does this do... 1- it generates more money for a school by giving them one hell of a big game at their school for finishing so highly ranked. 2- It satisfies the playoff buffs. It is no surprise that generally only the top 4 school deserve even an outside shot at the National Championship. 3- This gives the smaller non BCS School a chance to get to the national title. Coz if you win you game you are proclaimed #1 and #2. and will play in the BCS National Championship game. 4- It will still allow there to be all the bowls only now the two in the national championship game are undisputed... they played thier way in. No fighting over who is #4. the two losers of the playoff will automatically recieve at large bids to bcs bowls if they are not confrence champions. please give me any comment or flaws i would love to hear peoples opinions on this.
