I'm sorry. As much as I want quality opposition in Tiger Stadium... I don't think Virginia Tech deserves to have more money thrown at them as a reward for backing out of the game in the first place.
Why the hell do we need to pay VT for fulfilling a contract ???? Why in the hell does LSU need to beg and plead and pay for VT to uphold their end of a contract. LSU fulfilled its obligation, Va Tech should up hold theirs, end of story One they already violated (A verbal contract) by Scheduling a patsy game before the LSU game... F Va Tech....
I agree. I think the outcome of that game would have been much different if either BOTH teams had a warm up game, or NEITHER team had a warm up game.
I would love it if V Tech backed out of their back-out, played LSU as originally scheduled, and then LSU schedules a warm-up game before the VT game. I know it won't happen, but it would be poetic justice.
I wouldn't pay VT one red cent more than the contract called for. I also would never have agreed to reschedule them for 2007. How do we know they won't find some excuse to back out in 2007?
how about we pay them a little more this year in exchange for them returning for a second visit in 2007
