Anybody watching this? Thirty minutes in and I don't really see a winner or loser at this point. I guess it all depends on where you sit with the issues or trust what they're saying. Biden's years as a politician make him more comfortable but his mannerisms are a little arrogant. McCain/Palin vs. Obama/Biden GOD help us!...either way, we're in trouble.
I think Palin is doing a really good job considering what I saw from her previous interviews. She however took her biggest swing accusing Obama of voting 96 times for the same tax, and was punched in the gut when Biden pointed out McCain voted for the same tax, and on her basis voted 400+ times for tax increases. She looked really discouraged when she knew she had been busted on that one. However, she has bounced back and is doing a good job now.
I'm for alternative fuels but Biden just said global warming is man-made. I don't agree. He also said it would take 10 years to drill for oil.
They also agreed on the profits to the people program that Palin has in Alaska. She got busted again pointing out that Obama voted against funding troops, when McCain also voted against the bill. I gotta think McCain should have better prepared her for those things.
I think she just punched back when she said that Biden would be honored to run on the ticket with McCain and said that Obama wasn't qualified to run.
I agree. She is doing very well considering her opponent is an experienced debater, and this is really her first go at it on the national stage.
This election is going to be very close. McCain has the majority of states wrapped up and Obama has the high Electoral College vote states wrapped up. I'm waiting for any questions that will influence PA, OH, CO, NM, etc. voters. That's where the election will be won/lost.
