Last week (it's awarded on Tuesdays, so it was Dec. 9) the people who LIKE the BCS and think the best two teams are playing in the NCG won it. I might be in the minority, but I don't want Carroll to shut up ... I want him and the entire USC team focused on the BCS and how they were screwed. I want them focusing so much on this that they don't focus on a very good Michigan team.

Don't focus on Michigan ... just like OU didn't focus on K State!

I like your idea about Carroll continuing to rant--on the other hand I sort of hate that national media keeps giving him the floor, and the fact that last week's "Just Shut Up" winner was the people who are FOR the BCS ranking makes the media think they're right. So this isn't to keep Pete Carroll from talking but more to get the national media to hear a groundswell from the people. I don't think he'll shut up no matter what. What amazes me is that he's saying what he's saying so much and so loudly that obviously he has the support of his AD and the USC prez. I don't think our administration would support a coach who said that, and in fact I'll bet the SEC Commissioner would come down HARD on a Conference Champ who was so vocally against a system which the SEC had subscribed to, so WHERE IS THE PAC 10 LEADERSHIP HERE???

 

Hey fellow Tiger fans, please get a grip and lay off the Trojans. The fact is if Hawaii beats Boise State, LSU is doing the complaining and bashing the BCS because we got left out of the NC game.

We, LSU should count our lucky stars and be proud of the job the Tigers have done this year.

In my opinion, if USC beats a sound Michigan team, they deserve a share of the National Championship.

Yes, we would be pissed rmcalleg if we were in that situation...but you wouldn't see Nick Saban on radio shows, tv shows, and the internet talking about how they were screwed. You also wouldn't see Saban saying that we were playing for the National Title...

My nominee is Pete Carroll of Southern Cal. (This could be shared by the likes of Trev Albert and anyone else in the media crying about the BCS).

All I've heard is how 'unfair' it is that Southern Cal is not in the Sugar Bowl because they are No.1 in both polls. No one has even DARED question whether or not they deserve to be No. 1. The human voters couldn't possibly get it wrong, could they? The only reason Southern Cal is No. 1 in the first place is because they lost a couple of weeks before LSU did and they started higher than LSU in the preseason. Is THAT fair?

Everyone complains because the BCS did exactly what it was designed to do. Override the biased human element. And now that that has happened Pete Carroll wants to cry foul and say the Rose Bowl is the 'real' National Championship Game.

Just shut up Pete.

 

Had to vote for Pete, although my reasons were that he should be looking forward to Mich rather than calling the Rose the NC and calling out the winner of the Sugar. Also added that the sympathy for SC lately is reaching unreal levels of ass kissing.

 

I said USC an their fans. I mean, Shut the hell up!
