Let me preface this and say that LSU is my SEC West team and I pull for LSU in every game that doesn't involve the Vols. I have been to 2 games in Tiger Stadium and neither of them against the Vols (2002 vs Ole Miss and 2003 vs Arkansas). I dated a girl for 3 years while she went to LSU and just love the culture down there and the atmosphere for the games.:thumb: Went to the UT/LSU game in 2001 in Knoxville (thanks for ruining our chance at the title that year :angryfire  ) and then this year and also had tickets to last year's but the 2 day delay messed up my travel plans. I also saw LSU play AT Ole Piss last year. I just love SEC and college football as a whole. Anyway, I just have a simple question. What game was it that had a defensive player bounce off Russell as he just stood there like nothing happened and threw a pass (it was late in the year I think)? And is there a video of it on the net? Good luck in the Sugar, though I am not sure how much y'all will need it. GO VOLS! GEAUX TIGERS! GO SEC! :thumb: EDIT: And everyone have a great New Year!
Welcome to the forum, glad to have you. Off the top of my head I think it was the Ole Miss game but I'll try to see if I can confirm that...
I think it was earlier in the season during an away game. My guess is Florida or Tenn game. Someone else was looking for the same video on an earlier thread.
I dunno what one that one was, but I remember seeing JR lower his head and destroy one of Fresno St's linebackers on a run. Was good stuff.
Gcrop, Welcome to the forum! We're glad you like LSU football, as most of us here like it a lot. This is the best college football forum I've seen, like someone said the right mix of smack and rational thought  . We have a good mix of people. Stick around, you'll enjoy it (except when we play Tenn.!).
The hit on JR was during the Tenn game. There was a video posted so if you do a search you should be able to find it.
Welcome! There's probably some confusion on this question as it happened twice this year -- the Tennessee game was the best example (DT drilled him, and he barely budged before throwing the pass) and then again in the Ole Miss game. I think that was an LB, but the proverbial song remained the same. :hihi:
Thanks for the warm welcome here everyone. Seems like a great place to read and post in. I figured the instance I was refering to might be hard to pinpoint seeing as how it probably happened more than once. I will do a search for the video as recommended by COTiger. The reason I wanted the video is a friend of mine is not a very big college football fan (blashemy, I know) but a big NFL guy. He was just asking me about JR and what I thought about him since I keep up with college and have seen JR play live. I still couldn't give him a percentage of likeliness that JR adds himself to the draft though. I figured a lot depends on his performance in the Sugar.
I seem to remember it being the MSU game. It was during the first quarter when  was scoring at will, and I believe the pass was a touchdown, or at least ended up inside the five. That being said, he had a few good runs against UT. I did not see the lefire: game, so it could have been there, too. But it definitely occurred during the MSU game. BTW, nice to have you here, GCrop.:thumb:
