Elton guard Kyle Victoria announced yesterday that he will play his college basketball at Colorado State. Victoria, a 6'3" guard can play the point and the shooting guard spot. He played his high school ball at Elton High School, a Class 1A school here in Southwest Louisiana. I had the privilige of watching Victoria play many times throughout high school and he is an impact player. I don't think he would be a starter at LSU, but I definitely know he would be a valuable asset. He averaged 30 points per game this year and made First-team Class 1A All State. He was recruited by Colo. State, Louisiana Tech, Houston, and Memphis. As we all know John Brady didn't recruit this kid. I think Victoria will get alot of playing time as a freshman at State. State is loaded with big men and is thin on guards. Watch for this kid in the future. I wish him look especially since he came from a very small town. Anyway, thought this might interest some of you.
