In some of our so called "fans".

We are finding out who the true fans are, God forbid
we would have lost. Ramah, I am very disappointed with your attitude. Do you need LSU football to validate your existence? Get a grip man. We won the game. Ole Miss put forth their absolute BEST effort. They played as well as they can possibly play and we still got the W. That tells me all I need to know about these Tigers. They overcame adversity and pulled out the win. God bless 'em. I'm as happy as if they had won 72-0. Props to Ole Miss and bring on the pigs.

I am attempting to channel ramah's essence in this post!

I am a recruiting maven! I have helped LSU recruit and wathed tape before! If you do not agree with every word I have to say, then you are a fool!

I am a BCS expert, and I can update and project the computer polls before all the games are over!

I must escape the oppressive glare of the media and begin my own cult and move out of the country!

I must kill the media who come to question me in my own kingdom known as Jonestown...err...Ramaville!

You must all drink the Kool-Aid!

He sounds like Liza Minelli when she got drunk and Qualuuded out...

    "I am the star!"

You are absolutely right, in essence lots of Tiger fans can be both the best and worst fans in the world.

When things are going well, everything is positive but the minute mistakes are made people take a doomsday approach to our future. We're 10-1. Say it again, 10-1, that's a real program.

I'll admit I was highly dissapointed with our offense today including the Mauck, O-line, and some of Jimbo's play calling - but bad games do happen. Thankfully we came out with the win and i'm sure Saban will address these issues all week long in practice. How can our fans go from believing we are nat'l champ caliber to thinking we are a joke just like that?

Ole Miss played their hearts out on defense today and did NOT look like the horrendous #116 ranked pass defense in the country. Had our offense been firing on all cylinders we probably would have torched them something awful, but it wasn't and we didn't - still a win.

I'm no BCS computer but my best guess is if we win out our SOS will jump USC and we'll see how we fare against Oklahoma.

Take your team with the good and the bad. Think about how much you love Tiger ball and how many countless hours you spend reading, watching, and thinking about it each week - then re-evaluatue turning your back on your team before doing so.

I'm not proud of tonights performance, but still damn proud to be a Tiger fan.

Stupid question. We didn't play in the SECCG tonight. We played Ole Miss at Oxford. It was their SECCG and they gave it all they had. They played like champions and we withstood their best effort. A lot of teams, including Ga or Fla would have been trashed by Ole mIss playing the way they played tonight. Kiss the wife and kids and be happy that Friday's game means we still have a shot. Quit whining because we didn't play up to YOUR expectations.

    SabanFan is right here.

Of course all LSU fans are a little disappointed in some of the play on the offensive side of the ball, but don't let that DEFINE how you feel about this win!! It is a big win!

The coaches will address the problems on the offensive side of the ball. Right now, we fans need to beat our chests and yell about how proud we are of the LSU Tigers!!

Don't get me wrong, I am a little disappointed in the offensive effort.

But unlike some people on this board, I will give Ole Miss at least half the credit for that. They played an inspired football game. They had two weeks to prepare. It was in their house. They were as close to an SEC West title and SECCG as they have ever been. Of course they are gonna come out and play the game of their lives! They did, and although we played intense football, our mental effort and our execution was not quite up to par.

BUT WE WON!!!! And that is all that matters.

Did we play our best? No. Did we play well enough to win? YES! Every team has game like this on their road to the national title, where they have a tough test. I'm glad we were tested. It will help down the road.

I think many of us here who were calling this game a three TD victory (myself included) were coming into this game with very unrealistic expectations and a complete lack of respect for Ole Miss. Well, I do respect the Rebels. They played an awesome game, and they are an awesome team. We were just good enough to top them.

So everybody be happy with that.

Before the game I said on one thread or another on this forum that even if Ole Miss brought their A game that LSU would win easily if LSU also brought their A game. Ole Miss brought their A+ game today and LSU brought their A+ game on defense but their D game on offense and they still won. All the butthole so called Tiger fans are bitching like we had lost. What they are too stupid to realize is that they witnessed one of the greatest defensive performances in the history of LSU football. Eli Manning probably won't be the first player drafted only because all of the teams in the running for the worst record and rights to the first pick already have their quarterback of the future. Jacksonville and San Diego have the worst recordsright now but the Jags picked Byron Leftwich last year and the Chargers have Drew Brees. Eli could end up as the first pick if the Bears or the Raiders end up with the worst record even though the Bears drafted Rex Grossman last year. Eli might not be the first player drafted like his brother was but he WILL be the first quarterback drafted. Instead of whining about a close win you should be damn happy that LSU is good enough to win a close game against a ranked team on a day when the offense brought way less than their A game. Anybody who whines about todays game would probably bitch if they won the Powerball because the jackpot wasn't big enough that week.
