This is going to be a very dirty Prsidential election coming up!!!

The Democrats will do everything in their power to not let the economy turn around till after the election. When it started turning earlier this year they singlehandedly turned the mental frame of mind in this country with their negative attacks.

It is not in their best interest for it to turn upward. They have no chance at all if the economy gets better. The Liberal News Media will see to it that everything President Bush does is turned into negative things about him.

Do you think this National Gaurd thing came up on its own?

The few families that were mainly Democrats against his using parts of 911 in his ads.

The News Media will be the downfall of our country eventually. They dont report the news they slant it to make what they feel is truth and then people believe it.

Innocent until proven guilty. Maybe it used to be that way but you can be tried, convicted, and disgraced before you even have your day in court.

I Guess maybe i am part of the problem too because i get infuriated with guys like Cottonbowl66 and Phatcat because they look at things entirely different than me and i get caught up in the bashing.

We all take our politics serious but we allow ourselves to tear down with the animosity that builds up.

I believe in this country and even though i disagree strongly with some of the opinions expressed here i think freedom is a pretty wonderful thing.

I look back at that Michael Douglas movie where he was President and he is lashing back at the other candidate and he says that freedom is not easy.

He is right. This is advanced government.

I say to all of you we must take back our government from the News Media and special interests.

That is the real enemy . Our government is for sale by the buying of power in Washington. It is not just Republicans or Democrats. It is both.

I know this is all over the place but i wish every one that reads this to stop and think what we can do as Americans to bring back Political Responsibility.

May God Bless America and the LSU Tigers

Just how are "Democrats" going to prevent the economy from coming back before the election?

The Republican Party controls the Presidency, the Republican Party controls the House of Representatives, the Republican Party controls the Senate, the Republican Party controls the Supreme Court, the Chairman of the Federal Reserve is a Republican.

But the "Democrats" are going to prevent the economy from coming back?

I guess as long as there is one Democrat left standing, he will get all the blame for everything that is wrong.

This will be the dirtiest, most vicious Presidential campaign ever, but it will be because Bush is a vicious politician, who will do anything to win. He has no record to run on and therefore his only chance is to trash Kerry. That is what he will do.

Wall St has more to do with the economy than who sits in the White House.
And CB no matter what kind of campaign is run, Bush will win it. sorry charlie. better luck when Hillary runs 4 years from now. Collin Powell will beat her though. Maybe

This election is not going to be dirty because of the media. It's going to be dirty for three reasons.

    1. The two parties have never been more polarized. They have both become extremists on the left and right wings. There are a lot of votes in the middle and the fur is going to fly from both sides in an attempt to sway moderate voters.

    2. The Democrats are involved in some serious payback. They have not forgotton the Republican witch hunts against Clinton (Whitewater, impeachment, special prosecutors, Monicagate, etc.) that hurt Gore. Democrats will be very dirty and go after Bush with everything they have and are looking for a major issue to exploit.

    3. It will likely be another very close election. The Republican electoral victory in 2000 with a close popular vote loss involved shenanigans with Jeb Bush's Florida voting procedures and a Republican Supreme Court imposing themselves on an election. They can't count on that happening again. Republicans will be very dirty in an attempt to prevent another close election.

CB66 you are not even reasonable. How do you discuss serious topics with someone filled with so much hate.

You say Bush Is going to run a dirty campaign. Yes he is. But history has proven that Nice Republicans get beat. His father was nice and let Clinton run a very dirty Campaign and that is why he lost.

As far as Florida voters. If your too damn stupid to see a chad hanging or dont have the intelligence to look at your card when submitting then maybe your too ignorant to vote. Did anyone ever hear of the expression ( Ask For Help).

I am a Republican but to be honest I am fed up with the whole business as usual Politics that both of these Parties Represent.

I was listening to the radio on the way to work and they said that the two worst states with potholes are California and Mass. Does that mean i should hold Mr. Kerry and Mrs. Boxer and Feinstein accountable for that.

I do agree with you on one thing Red55. Both Parties are polarized and it is going to be dirty on both sides just like i said. And the media is right there with their agenda to be dirty right with them.

Unbiased Media. Thats an oxymoron Mr Bill!!!

The Republican party is controlled by the economic right.
The Democratic party is controlled by the social left.
The big scarecrow in American politics is the idea that the Republican party is controlled by the religious right.
The religious right may make the most noise, but who gets greased in the Republican party is big business.
The economic populists may make the most noise, but who gets greased in the Democratic party is the radical social left.
Take President Clinton. The Republicans yelled and screamed about his tax cut, but in truth, it was minimal. The .com craze created quick millionaires whose stock skyrocketed quickly, then they sold out. The gap between rich and poor grew even greater during the supposedly *liberal* Clinton administration.
But who did Clinton really deliver for? The radical left. From his court appointments to his first act as President the *don't ask, don't tell* policy for the US Military.
The Republicans talk a great game about social conservatism and normalcy, but their ranks are filled with perverts and they give only lip service to the social conservatives, but consistently deliver for their true friends, the economic right.
From their court appointments to their legislative accomplishments, all are designed to deliver for the rich.
Bush and Kerry, Yalies both, are from the same elitist branch.
Bush Part Two would continue to deliver for the economic right
Kerry Part One would deliver to the far-left social elitists.
Economic populism and social conservatism would not be served by either of them.
