I am so looking forward to getting Beemer in Death Valley. Va Tech needs there butts kick, haven't forgotten how they backed out on us.:geauxtige :thumb:
And they will come in highly ranked. I believe they're in the top 10 in some of the way too early preseason polls, which is surprising, considering the year they had this year.
Va Tech will be ranked high enough. It will make for a great 2nd game. This time aroung Skip learned from Beemer and scheduled a game ahead of them.:geauxtige
VT backing out on us and hurting our SOS always bothered me. Plus I want some revenge for the loss we had a couple of years ago. So I look forward to this game too.
Has there been any more info on the MSU game bieng moved to the first weekend? I hope it happens because I want the Va Tech game to be our first home game. Not Middle Tennessee.
I went to Blacksburg in 2002 and it was horrible. I took my wife who had never gone with me to any of the away games I had gone to. From our arrival in Blacksburg, outside the stadium and throughout the game we were treated very poorly. Around the third quarter she looks at me and asks "is it like this at the other places you go to because these people are terrible." I told her only Gainsville and the gators, although bad, were not as bad as the hokies and Blacksburg. She normally does not go with me to BR for games but made me promise that when the low-class hokies come to BR I will bring her. I love to see that classless program lose in anything.
Not only that, but in '02, it was supposed to be each team's first game. Then, shortly before the season, VT scheduled a patsie for a tune-up game (Black Coaches' game, or something?) for the week before. I really thought it made a difference with the Tigers not quite being as game ready as the hokies because the turkeys had a game under their belt. I also heard that VT had agreed to play LSU in the first game of the season and reneged on the agreement in that regard. Can anyone confirm?
Well...I have tentative plans to head to B.R. for this game. I will be bringing a few Va Tech grads with me. They are both army officers too so...high class guys. So...i will bring the tiger bait if you guys can show them what i have been preaching all along....how great LSU football is. We have already got rooms booked on Bourbon from Thursday - Friday and will just crash at my sis's house in B.R. sometime after the partying dies down on Saturday night or sunday morning.
If they keep their same QB from last year, Sean Glennon, we will toast them. Their defense will be losing a lot of playmakers, but still will be very fast and talented. In what will be a break out performance for Ricky Jean-Francois we beat Virginia Tech by two touchdowns.
