va tech is for real and thats because they do not make mistakes and do not beat themselves. as much as i despise beamer for backing out of our game i have to admit hes an excellent coach. hokies average a little over 3 penalties a game and have turned the ball over twice all year. they are +14 in TO ratio. no need to mention special teams. thats a given. btw, LSU ranks #1 overall nationally in special teams. :yelwink2: :yelwink2:
The Maryland QB looks to be kept under tight rein---he completes 65% of his passes, yet he only averages about 7 yds per completion and, despite the completion percentage, his TD to INT ratio is bad (1:1). Look for the short passing game to continue...and the stupid, unforced INTs to continue (as I type, of course).
Damn! When Va Tech's punter Schmidtt sits around the house---weighing over 270---he really sits around the house! He should lose that spandex-looking, skin-tight undershirt, too. Nothing attractive about compressed fat on display for all to see.
