You all would kill USC. I have 2 of their games from this year saved on my friends tapeplayer and they are good team...but nothing more. Defense is quick but their tackling ability isnt near LSU's and their offense has glaring holes that can be stopped.

For them to think they could beat LSu....handidly for that matter...only shows how little they know about LSU and the SEC

Spot on, man. Just one more game to go. Herbstreit directs a rather large herd of AP Wildebeests, LOL, and is very well respected. This may get the AP herd headed toward Baton Rouge. A big win next week could cause a stampede, with LSU as #2 AP ... and a Sugar berth.

That's a nice picture... I wish I would have seen that hit...

We still have a very tough game left... I really think that we are capable of beating anyone in the NATION.. including OU...(not a blowout, mind you)

To me , this next game will be just as tough as playing in the Sugar Bowl against OU

Screw USC, half of the SEC schools can beat them. I know that Georgia would spank them raw.

I respect their talant and their team, but they don't know what it is like to go through a conference schedule where everyone can beat you on any given day.

    Go SEC.... GEAUX TIGERS...

I think LSU and a few others could beat USC on any given Saturday, but no one in the SEC would "spank them raw" or really kick their azz ... generally decided by winning by 17 points or more.

On a neutral field, USC would open as a Vegas favorite against any SEC team ... possibly with the exception of LSU ... and the best we could be would be a "PICK".

Last check, USC was a +5 U-dog against OKLA, LSU was a +6 U-dog against OKLA, and LSU is the TOP SEC TEAM.

YOU PEOPLE MUST REALIZE THAT PRACTICALLY NONE OF THESE VOTERS HAVE LSU #2 RIGHT NOW. JUST DO THE MATH. THERE ARE 63 AND 65 VOTERS RESPECTIVELY IN THESE POLLS, AND THAT IS HOW MANY POINTS WE ARE BEHIND USC IN THESE POLLS. WE HAVE A LONG WAY TO GO. IT JUST WON'T HAPPEN.

Stick to the computer polls to bring us to #2. These are objective results showing who is really #2.

Here is my penny worth of an thought

I think that LSU GA OLE MISS FLA and TENNESSEE either of these teams would not only beat S CAL but do it in such away that it would not leave any doubt about who was the better team . I think that either team would win by 2 td's LSU played 3 of these teams can S Cal match that ?

We'll never know, but just matching LSU vs USC and "common opponents" Arizona & Auburn, LSU & USC are about even, with LSU having +1 point edge. That shoots the hell outta your 2-td win theory ... but I like how you think ... and there is no doubt SEC is head and shoulders above Pac-10 "Top to Bottom". Would USC have 1 loss had they played our schedule? Probably not, but we'll never know.

The hick fiddler is really cool ... can you make 1 with a BIGGER HEAD ... and a few visibly missing teeth ... you know, something Deliverance Style for Auburn, Ole Miss & Arky games next year ... that would be really funny.
