I know he said he wouldn't leave Bowling Green...errr...Utah, but do you think that Urban Meyer would spring for the NFL?

I would have to think that his stock can only go down from here if the SEC is as tough as you guys say it is.

He is an Ohio guy who grew up with the Steelers and Browns and both are looking for new coaches (especially after the Browns 4-12 year).

Nick Saban just called him a few minutes ago asking if he could please be his offensive coordinator. He said he would pay him half of his salary if he did so.

As tough as you guys say it is meaning?
You don't believe SEC is that tough or number 1 conference in America?

Bowling Green nor Utah is neither a top job. Florida is and he is making the most of it. His stock may go down next year but once he starts developing all the top recruiting classes that he has gotten he will be able to take the title of SEC #2 behind LSU.

Ask yourself this. UM runs a spread option, based on mis-direction to counter the speed NCAA D's have...

Now, considering the athletes on the defensive side of the ball in the NFL, combined with how hard they "bring the wood," how long do you think a QB would last in the NFL getting hit so often?

Can you point to any team in the NFL that has ran a spread-option and been successful? What about a simple spread attack? The first person that came to mind was June Jones and his stint with ATL. Didn't work there...and that was just a simple spread attack.

Meyer would have to change his offensive scheme. He's able to; did so last year.

Last night, a lot of the result was about speed and athleticism. I honestly don't believe he's find such a disparity with the NFL ranks.
