After watching bits and pieces of the replay.... This is a very poorly coached team offensively. We have just enough talent to squeek out wins it seems... Where is that LSU killer instinct? A lot of talent is helping us win these ballgames... and other teams MISTAKES.... but god, can we do away with the vanilla offense that everyone and their mom knows what LSU is going to do? Lets review: Two games won by clutch throws and catches by JR to Davis, and JR to Bowe. One game won in OT, due to a missed fieldgoal of the other team. One game LOST by sitting on a lead in the 4th quarter. one game (vanderbilt) was close for a while (9-3) then eventually our talent took over that one, just like the ole miss game. If anyone has noticed so far... the "coaching" isnt what is winning these football games... This has got to be one of the greatest/worst years to be a tiger fan... I feel like I want to throw up on every tight game this year... These new LSU coaches arent playing to win, they are playing NOT TO LOSE it seems like a lot of the times... What happened to that fire?o: that intensity?:angryfire hopefully well see it next weekend, cause if we dont, its going to be ugly. :dis: And if you think there is nothing wrong with this team, you are severly DELUSIONAL. JUST CAUSE YOU FIND A WAY TO WIN, DOESNT MEAN YOU CAN'T LOSE. Last thing - Has the Offense actually gotten any BETTER since the season began? If you answered yes, please tell me how? Im seeing all the same mistakes (against a horrible team) that I saw in the beginning of the season... false start on green near goal line? WTF? I want to be the blind and dumb happy LSU fan, but I think there is something seriously wrong with my tigers, and I feel like everyone is just dismissing this... HELLO! THIS TEAM HAS PROBLEMS! are you telling me that this LSU team with 21 seniors, playing to get into the SECCG and a possible outside shot of a championship game appearence can't execute on plays...EASY plays???? Its partly the players fault, YES, Jimbo and miles and catch it for them, but they can set them up for a play to make.... What am I talking about? oh nothing, pay no attention to this post... "Geaux Tigers!":lsup::lsup::lsup::geauxtige:geauxtige:geauxtige:geauxtige:geauxtige:geauxtige:geauxtige:geauxtige:geauxtige:geauxtige:geauxtige:geauxtige:geauxtige:geauxtige:geauxtige:geauxtige:geauxtige Everyone happy now?
Dude, your team is 10-1. Stfu and enjoy it why don't you. Enjoy it while it lasts that is...I think UGA takes care of LSU in the dome, unfortunately.
I hear you, but, if we would have executed better on offense, the game plan would not have mattered, because we would have put the game out of reach, even with a conservative game plan. Imagine what our defense would have done to Arky's true freshman QB, if they would have had to pass more to win the game. We would have won by at least two scores.
Did Jimbo drop those passes? Did Jimbo throw the ball low and behind receivers all afternoon? Did Jimbo fumble or throw an interception into double coverage? Did Jimbo block in the back or line up in the wrong place? No. All that talent did. Every team has some weaknesses. Anyone who thinks that every problem must be a coaching problem doesn't know a hell of a lot about football. Anyone whose team is ranked #3 and headed to the SECCG and a January bowl game and is complaining because they are not PERFECT is severely delusional. Hell, yes! Are you blind? Well, earlier this year LSU was ranked #106 in total offense. Today they are ranked #52. They passed over 50 teams. How obvious can PROGRESS get?
Red you're a genius. It's a good thing we have posters like you who don't think the sky is falling because we lost a game and have played close ones all year.
Hell of a post Navy. Exactly what I have been saying all year. Judging by some of the replys to this thread, looks like others are starting to get it finally. Of course there are those who obviously have no clue about this game that think Miles is doing a wonderful job because his superior athletes have won ball games for him and made him look good.
