Rumor has it that this is Tim Tebow. :hihi: Seriously though, where do you come out on this? Was this guys free speech rights trampled on because he was asking some uncomfortable questions or were the police justified in the way this was handled? There is a big skip over in the video I saw, didn't look at yours. The guy was obviously trying to be disruptive and when they tried to stop him from being disruptive, he got out of hand. I say the hell with him. It's not about free speech, it's about being disruptive and then fighting authorities when they try to stop you.
my dream is to one day be tasered. it doesnt look like it hurts much and i bet it is pretty fun. people who bitch about it are pussies. on youtube even girls laugh it off.
okay, just browsed through the video you posted. He basicaly took a swing at two cops. Totally justified in my opinion.
That would be a great piece of entertainment for a party. Maybe you could sell this service. something like "taser me at your next party, only $150 bucks and I supply the taser" You know you'd be getting calls all the time.
i will tell you what brother, if i had my own taser i wouldnt have time for renting myself out. that would cut into my home tasering time. as far as that student goes, i commend him for accomplishing his dream of drawing attention to himself and causing a stir and pretending like his rights were violated. college kids love that stuff. add to that the bonus of being tasered and he has a had a pretty nice day for himself.
from news article about the dude: "Meyer has his own Web site and it contains several ``comedy'' videos that he appears in. In one, he stands in a street with a sign that says ``Harry Dies'' after the latest Harry Potter book was released. In another, he acts like a drunk while trying to pick up a woman in a bar." (http://www.guardian.co.uk/uslatest/story/0,,-6931080,00.html) that is what i figured. the guy wanted to be tasered. nobody gets tasered at an event like this unless they want to. nice work by this kid.
Cops need to be allowed to use 12 guage No. 8 birdshot. If idiots like this think they mightget their behind peppered by real lead shot, they'll think twice about their little stunts. When the guy gets older he's going to feel mighty stupid about what he thought was a neat thing to try. Cops, for the most part are genuine A-holes, but they take their job very seriously. The time to contest them is after the arrest, not during. That's just stupid.
"Don't Tase me, bro," Urban Meyer's eldest son tasered. "As Kerry tells the audience he will answer the student's "very important question," Meyer struggles on the ground and yells at the officers to release him, crying out, "Don't Tase me, bro," just before he is Tasered. He is then led from the room, screaming, "What did I do?"" ok, dont know if its urban's son. maybe younger brother? i know its a duplicate thread, but i thought it needed a new title.
I'll admit, at first I wasn't sure about this. On the surface, it seemed like they were just trying to silence him for asking uncomfortable questions. But the more that comes out; especially him using up more than his allotted time and not stepping away when asked, then the web site Martin mentions; it seems like this guy is an attention hound and basically got what he deserved.
