For all you Bama lurkers denying Francis believed the "speech hoax" and was huffy about it: Your very own Tuscaloosa News verifies the story... Francis is a pouty baby...
Call me crazy but I'm hoping Fran apologizes to Saban after he see's what really happened. This misunderstanding of his has made things kind of a mess. "It's time to move on!"....N.S.
I agree... I happened across that story while trying to find out what Fran's side of the story was. I only posted the link as an answer to some Bama fans questioning the reasons for the post game "scene". Alas, with that behind us, let us focus on ole miss. I hope the Tigers overcome the problems we've had offensively and move on to claim the west.
Can you read at all? "The Alabama coach was apparently angry over an anonymous e-mail message" Notice the key word... APPARENTLY. AKA- The news paper knows as much as you do about why he might have been upset... which is jack squat.
I don't know the exact words, but I know... from a member of our staff what it was about, and it wasn't about the "speech." This is not a popular opinion around here - doesn't make as good a story to stoke up one's hate - but it's true. If you want to check my accuracy, it's about to happen again this Saturday. Fran has an issue with Tubs he considers to be personal.
Of course thats what it said. The problem is that he (and a few players) channeled it at Saban in a confrontational manner. I don't fault the guy for being mad if he believed it was said, I just cant believe that he put so much stock in a fluke statement. That's all, this will all blow over....hopefully soon. I'm done on this topic.
Re: I don't know the exact words, but I know... Based upon everything I've read from Bama fans this week, I'd expect Fran would not be so petty. Sounds like a big baby to me.
