I remember a lot of posters here saying that last year was a one hit wonder for the ole Tubber......looks like you guys were correct How bad a record do you think Auburn will post this year?
I wouldn't be so quick to stick a fork in them. They weren't impressive but it's one game. Hell, if we get beat by Az St, we're in the same boat.
I dont think it's the coach so much as the talent. I think Tubby's a good coach. But, anyone can win with the team he had last year. Just like any coach would have problems after losing 4 big guys in the first round of the draft.
Just like any coach would have problems after losing 4 big guys in the first round of the draft.[/QUOTE] I must agree it's hard to replace 4 first rounder. I did watch most of the game and I didn't think they were that bad. G-tech looked like a team that was much improved and Auburn looked like a team that needed to work out the kinks, of course if those kinks don't get worked out before sec play it could be a 4-7 season.
I was at the game and it wasn't pretty. It was evident from the beginning the team wasn't up like they should be. Not an excuse, but maybe having several players with missing relatives in No had some effect. One thing was clear, Williams and Brown made the OL look good last year. What was supposed to be a strength got whipped all night. Where does Auburn go from here. I wouldn't predict. You guys rebounded after a close call with OSU to start last year and maybe we can too.The thing that bothered me most was hearing our three percenters (pic a number) bad mouthing the team after the record we had last year. Talk about spoiled fans. I can only say if we had won I wouldn't be a better Auburn Tiger today. We lost and I can also say I'm no worse an Auburn Tiger today. I must also confess that after my trip to Gulfport and watching the tragic situation in NO and eastward to Mobile on TV all week, my mind wasn't always on the game. Hope ya'll will be able to get your season started this Saturday.
