OK, I live in Lubbock, and also went to TTU (me and Ag schools, go figure). So tonight I put on my Red and Black ( domestic harmony, my wife is a Red Raider through and through) Help me cheer the teasipps to defeat. I will be back shortly, taking my son to Fall Festival at his school so my wife can root loudly. Guns Up, TTU 7 ut 0

Mack Brown is a stooge.....24 seconds left was plenty of time to go down the field and kick a FG....Texas Tech has absolutely no defense and Texas was having its way the last few series.

This team obviously won their national title in SPITE of their head coach

361 yards passing at the half

I gotta believe the NCAA record if somewhere about 600...so he has to be within range

Looking around so far, I found that Houston vs. SMU in 1989 (Andre Ware ?) had 771 yards passing as a team....not sure how much the starting QB had.

Yeah Klingler for 716 is the official NCAA record for 1-A schools

Ware and Klingler were some huge duds in the NFL. Its funny how a system always trumps the talent of its individual parts as indicated by the success of these 2 guys in college but nowhere close in the NFL.

Jimmy Klingler threw for 613 in 1992 for Houston.....was this his brother (I don't remember him)?

I did remember correctly that Dave Wilson of Saints fame did hold the record at one point (1980).
