that would depend on what standard of proof the NCAA goes by. i doubt it's the "beyond a reasonable doubt" that criminal courts in the U.S. go by. more likely, its the "preponderance of evidence" (more likely than not) that most civil courts in the U.S. go by
Sounds alot like last year. I hope we play Oregon at full strength ala not missing all there star players and it still come down to a dropped pass in the endzone as time expires.
No doubt and just because it appears inappropriate on the surface doesn't mean it actually is. But there is no denying it does smell fishy.
Oh really Caddie? You're a respected rival poster, but my impression of what you're trying to convey is that everyone piled on Cam when the story first broke, only to have him later vindicated by the NCAA. Not having enough proof to verify an allegation is not the same as being found innocent. Everyone outside of Barner nation still believes something shady and illegal happened with the signing of Cam and they're probably right.
Auburn's not in the clear yet, they are still in the midst of an NCAA investigation (Auburn: "the investigative phase of this event is still ongoing and we are currently working with the NCAA."). in 2004, did anybody imagine that National Champions USC would have their national title stripped, a heisman trophy taken away, scholarship reductions, bowl bans, etc? i certainly didn't i don't know of any "smoking gun" evidence regarding Cam and Auburn, but i wouldn't be surprised if the NCAA is just going to keep hacking away at Auburn until they do come up with something (and it doesn't help that four ex-Auburn players recently appeared on HBO Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel talking about how they were paid thousands while at Auburn) for example, not too long ago NCAA investigators came down to Louisiana to gather evidence in connection to Auburn's recruitment of Greg Robinson and Trovon Reed: their football coach was interviewed by NCAA investigators for 45 minutes, Robinson himself was interviewed for "a couple hours," Robinson's mother was interviewed, Reed's mentor was interviewed, etc. just last week ESPN ran a story about how Auburn's new contract with Chizik allows him to be paid if there is an NCAA investigation, a departure from his previous contract

What is it about LSU's opening opponent? Last 2 seasons.... Defrocked scout details relationship with Oregon, Kelly - College Football - Rivals.com
Uh oh. Willie lyles is talking. bit.ly/mQIZ4E Unfortunately LSU was one of only three schools to hire him for recruiting. However, it appears we did the right things in a paragraph close to the bottom. Oregon, however, is screwed.
