Personally, this is a great time for LSU. We have been on the cusp of winning national championships. That we didn't win any this year, doesn't is not negative at all. The great programs keep knocking on the championship door year and year out. Many of our sports programs are doing that now. I have no reason to think we are headed south. After the girls lost on Sunday, I realized how hard it is too win a national championship in any sport, and it makes me treasure the LSU Football National Championship even more. We are doing just fine, thank you. Keep knocking on the door guys and gals. For sure you can't win a nc if you aren't even at the threshhold. We are now. Go team go.
Anyone who b*tches about LSU right now is worthless. They have crawled out of the cellar in basketball. They are a guarunteed top 25 team now in football (who would have bitched about that 10 years ago?) They are top 10 in baseball. Top 4 in women's hoops, top 10 on a REBUILDING team in track and field.. softball, gymnastics, tennis, golf, cross country, all ranked.. wtf do you want? This is the new Golden Age of LSU Sports if you ask me. Not since Billy Cannon and Pistol Pete has LSU recieved this much national attention, and now its in every sport..
I am content with the state of things right now. Minus a few oh crap how did that happen's and we take it up another notch. But as a total view of athletics we have to be in the top 10. There is only one champion.
