My favorite place to eat in BR without a doubt is

    LOUISIANA LAGNIAPPE

it is right by bluebonnet and perkins.

Steaks are better than Chris's and the seafood is better than Mike's. IF u dont believe me go try it. U better go early or the wait will be forever.

I was once asked in a job interview what I felt my greatest weakness was, and I answered "Chinese buffets."

I work in downtown Richmond. On the ground floor of my building is a large buffet restaurant - and there are always about 6 or 7 Chinese selections. Excellent food, especially what they call "Spicy Wing." It is a fried chicken wing that has been coated in a "Gen. Tso" type sauce and then apparently baked, because the sauce has sort of hardened or candied. They sell the buffet by the pound, and it will hit you in the pocketbook pretty hard if you don't look out.

And thank you for mentioning The Pastime in your list

Selling buffet food by the pound totally defeats the purpose of having a buffet. It sucks.

I drive by there almost every day but I have never eaten there. Now that I see your good review I'll have to try it.

I promise you will not be disappointed. Great Seafood and they have a great ribeye. I really would put that ribeye up with dicky brennan's. Also have good prices and it is not a la carte. Check it out Bengal it will be worth your time and money. Let me know if you like it.

I don't know, but with that guy's apparent love of cooking, I'd sure be tempted to go there and try it out. :hihi: :hihi: :hihi:

The food at Panera Bread SUCKS, but there are always hot broads in there. I eat there twice a month or so for that reason alone.
