    Bob Stoops is the Bobby Dodd "Coach of the Year"
    Nick Saban is the AP "Coach of the Year"
    Pete Carroll is the Home Depot "Coach of the Year"

    The Maxwell Award is the Player of the Year
    The Lombardi Award is the Nation's Best Lineman
    The Outland Trophy is the Nation's Best Interior Lineman
    The Butkus Award is the Nation's Best Linebacker
    The Thorpe Award is the Nation's Best Defensive Back
    The Doak Walker Award is the Nation's Best Running Back
    The Davey O'Brien Award is the Nation's Best QuarterBack
    The Lou Groza Award is the Nation's Best Place-Kicker
    The Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award is the Best Senior Quarterback
    The Fred Biletnikoff Award is the Nation's Best Wide Receiver
    The Bronko Nagurski Award is the Nation's Best Defensive Player
    The Walter Camp Award is the Nation's Outstanding Player
    The Mosi Tatupu Award is the Nation's Outstanding Special Teams Player
    The John Mackey Award is the Nation's Outstanding Tight End

    Some of these are just ridiculous. Some of them are for the nearly the same thing...

    Wouldn't you think that Jason White would have won the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award since he won the Heisman, as a Senior Quarterback?

    It's pathetic. I guess what I'm getting at is... Don't be too hyped up about having 5 award winners on your team this year.
