"What ifs" don't matter much in a "gotcha" scenario.

Prove it. The law is the law.

for example you can buy a radio ad that says "shop at joe's", but in some cases you cannot buy one that says "vote for my best friend bob!". i can buy a thousand bumper stickers that say "wwjd". but i cant buy a thousand that say "vote bob", because that is contributing to bob's campaign. so speech is restricted based on content.

if martin and cparso form a club and we advocate lsu football, we are ok. but if we form a club to advocate our favorite candidate, we are regulated and restricted. thats not right.

campaign finance laws are terrible, one of the worst things in this country, they are a terrible violation of free speech.

furthermore, within a certain time period before elections, broadcast ads are severely restricted. its as unconstitutional as it gets.

This appears to be the only rap DeLay hasn't yet been able to sidestep. He's gotten away with far more antics. Grade-A slimeball, and that is a non-partisan comment.

Speaking of 'partisan', I'm guessing very few around here would be quick to label it a 'partisan witch hunt' if it were, oh say, Tom Daschle getting indicted. Ironic.

Their are laws against purjury. Didnt seem to stop Clinton from doing it. The law is the law. If it doesnt apply to Democrats then why should it apply to Republicans.

OHHHH I forgot the old Ted Kennedy Double standard law.

That says if you are Rich that you can kill someone and spend the rest of your life on a moral high area bashing people for their immorality.

That's right. If your guy is undefendably dishonest, then change the subject to Clinton.

Clinton got disbarred, remember. It works the same for republicans who break the law.

    The law is the law.
